In reality, we can’t change how we feel in times of distress, but surely we can change how we think!
The happiness of our life depends on the quality of our thoughts. Our mind is our battleground. It is the place where the greatest conflicts within us resides. It is where half of the things that we thought would going to happen, never did happened. But if we allow these thoughts to dwell in our mind, they will succeed in robbing ones peace, joy, happiness and ultimately our lives. We will put ourselves into depression state and will think of defeat from within. We are what we think.
A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. When we wake up, it may just take a second to think about the privilege to be alive and to appreciate it. The moment we start acting like life is a blessing, that surely is, I assure you it will start to feel like one. Everything that happens or happened help us to grow, even if it is hard to see that then and there.
Circumstances will direct you, correct you and perfect you over time.
So be thankful to God for every single moment. If you feel low, tell him about your problems, remind him, he is ever listening. Just like a child tell his father about what he wants, what he needs and the father fulfils all his wishes. Reminding him doesn’t mean that he has forgotten you, but it means to get his attention back. Even God wants to know that his Bhakta/devotee loves him and is overwhelmed by the desire for securing his devotee’s presence. Like they say, “Even God is nothing without his Bhaktas.” Just as devotee holds God close to his/her heart, similarly God holds his devotees very close to his heart.
That’s why wise have said,"Bhakti, Bhakta and Bhagwan/God are all one and same".
